Apr. 9: Peter Rohloff to Speak on Indigenous Communities and Development Work -- Perspectives from Guatemala

Channing-Murray Foundation's Social Justice Committee is proud to host Peter Rohloff on
Wednesday, April 9th at 7:30pm giving a talk entitled, "Indigenous Communities and Development Work: Perspectives from Guatemala"

Peter Rohloff, University of Illinois alumn and director of an NGO
working in Guatemala, and University of Illinois visiting scholar Magda
Sotz Mux, native Kaqchikel speaker, weaver, and educator from San Juan
Comalapa, will hold a discussion on forging international collaborations,
development work, and language and cultural revitalization movements in
Guatemala. Audience participation and feedback will be encouraged.

Attendance is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Make an evening of it! Come to the Red Herring Vegetarian Restaurant for Dinner before hand! The Restaurant's new hours are Tuesday - Friday 11 - 8.
