Why are UCIMC Stories hard to find in Google?

Before UCIMC started using Drupal, it was easy to find stories published here through google searches. Within a day or 2, stories could be found by their title, and could eventually be found as the result of searches for their content.

WEFT, 90.1FM Donates Thousands of CDs to WRFU-LP, 104.5FM

WEFT, 90.1 FM, Champaign, Illinois made a generous donation of thousands of CDs culled from the WEFT music library to WRFU-LP, 104.5FM. Community radio in Central Illinois continues to benefit from the cooperative and helpful relationship that saw numerous WEFTies volunteer as part of the crew that helped place WRFU on the air nearly two years ago.

As a few of you may know, the WRFU music library up to this point consisted of about 200 CDs. For most of our programs, this means that the volunteers have to provide their own music. While this adds to the eclectic variety of programming available on Radio Free Urbana, it also discourages many of our volunteers by limiting what they play to what they have available.

Come on down to the IMC for a night of music, political social commentary and live performances from some of your favorite local artists. There will be free giveaways and the admission is FREE. Everyone is welcome. The event will run from 10 PM to midnight.

Please arrive by 9:55 PM as we will be going on the air for radio at 10 PM. We will also be videotaping this event for rebroadcast on UPTV Channel 6.
