McCain’s Gaffes Reflect Bush’s Iran-Qaeda Myth

WASHINGTON - Sen. John McCain’s confusion in recent allegations of Iranian training of al Qaeda fighters in Iraq is the result of a drumbeat of official propaganda about close Iran-al Qaeda ties that the George W. Bush administration and neoconservatives have promoted ever since early 2002.

STUDENTS PLAN PROTEST AGAINST FIVE YEARS OF WAR ON IRAQ

URBANA, IL - The fifth anniversary of the Iraqi War is almost upon us, and across the country anti-war activists are taking to the streets to show their opposition to the unpopular war.

Here in Champaign-Urbana, various student groups have joined together to stage a protest on Thursday, March 13. Organized primarily by the Campus Greens and the Campus Antiwar Network, but with the support of numerous other organizations, the protest will last from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and will take place primarily on the Quad.
